Telecom/Telematique, Inc. has been awarded two contracts by U.S. Trade and Development Agency to organize and conduct management and technical/engineering courses and study tours for the Iraqi Ministry of Oil in 2006.

The Management program will offer seven courses in Amman, Cairo, the U.S, and in Iraq for 300 middle and senior managers from the Ministry and the Northern Oil Company (NOC) and Southern Oil Company (SOC). Two Study Tours for ten senior managers each will be conducted in the U.S. during June 2006.

The Technical and Engineering program will offer nine courses in Amman and Iraq for 330 engineers and technical specialists from the Ministry and Northern Oil Company and Southern Oil Company. Two Study Tours for ten senior engineers and technical experts each will be conducted in the U.S. during July 2006.

Telecom/Telematique, Inc. is collaborating with U.S. industry and universities in conducting this important program to share with Iraqi's oil and gas industry the knowledge, technology, and business management practices that will advance the development of the sector. Industry partners will contribute to Study Tours and courses, providing experts, case studies, simulations, and course materials.

Eight of the courses will be repeated in Sulaimania, Iraq for management and technical specialists during August and September 2006. Telecom/Telematique, Inc. will organize and implement the distance learning and e-learning program in Iraq for conducting these four management and four engineering courses.

The second year of the program will measure and evaluate the impact of the training program of sixteen courses and four study tours. The Final Report will also recommend expanded and on-going education and training for Iraq's oil and gas industry.
