Telecom/Telematique, Inc. (T/TI) is an international consulting, training, and research firm based in Washington, D.C. Our work focuses on telecom and ICT infrastructure, policy, technology and applications in emerging markets and developing countries. T/TI pioneered international distance learning in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, and most recently in Iraq and Central Asia. Previously we consulted in the energy sector.

Telecom/Telematique, Inc. designed the Iraqi ICT training center program, which is being implemented in partnership with U.S. and international telecom and IT companies, universities, and foundations. T/TI developed the curriculum for professional, technical, and end user education and training. We also designed the facilities, infrastructure, and connectivity for university-based ICT Centers and ministries. Our Iraqi team is leading implementation of the ICT Centers and now coordinating and supporting T/TI's Iraqi Oil Training program, including use of distance and e-learning for the eight courses to be delivered in Sulaimania. T/TI has offices and staff in Baghdad and Amman.

T/TI developed similar ICT training programs for Central Asia, Central America, and for Central and Eastern Europe during 1991 - 2004. Courses are on management, engineering and technology, policy and regulation, and ICT applications. These programs were funded initially by USTDA grants and contracts to conduct Feasibility Studies and develop partnerships with industry. Industry partners participate in the implementation by contributing technology, content, and funds for operations.

T/TI conducts Feasibility Studies and provides Technical Assistance for governments in emerging markets. Recent projects have designed fiber optic networks for railways and electric utilities, advised on telecom and ICT policy and regulation, developed a strategic implementation plan for e-Government, and designed wireless networks. Projects are profiled on www.telecomtelematique.com In addition to USTDA, T/TI has worked with and our projects have been funded by the United Nations, World Bank, European Union, USAID, and ITU. Private sector clients include U.S., European, and Japanese companies.

T/TI was established in 1987 and is incorporated in the State of Colorado. TTI/Europe SARL is affiliated and incorporated in France since 1994. T/TI teams with engineering firms, law firms, and other consulting firms on selected projects.
